4th May 2023, Mumbai : Ayushmann Khurrana, a Bollywood actor who will soon be seen in “Dream Girl 2,” addressed on Wednesday at the opening ceremony of the media and entertainment industry gathering, FICCI Frames 2023.
He firmly asserted that in order for the entertainment industry to advance, it must remain more grounded since only really local stories have the ability to become worldwide.
The ‘Dream girl’ star said he had never anticipated that a bond between a man and an animal can bring India an Academy Award, using the case of the Oscar-winning documentary ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ as an example.
Ayushmann said during the panel discussion: “Ten years ago, I had gone to this wildlife sanctuary at the trijunction of Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, and witnessed first hand the relationship between man and animal. I never thought that in 2023, that relationship would’ve been told worldwide and give us an Oscar.”
Ayushmann added that the Indian entertainment sector is poised to soar to glory on a worldwide scale.
“We will advance more quickly the more we are rooted in our past. Our reach expands as we become more regionally focused. The potential for worldwide grandeur in our film business exists. I consider myself fortunate to be alive at a moment when the globe has transformed into a creative mashup of cultures,” he continued.
