6 December 2023, Mumbai: Vicky Kaushal’s latest offering, “Sam Bahadur,” directed by Meghna Gulzar, continues its steady performance at the box office during the weekdays. Despite a slight deceleration in momentum, the film managed to earn ₹3.5 crore on Tuesday, mirroring its Monday collections. As per early estimates, the film’s total box office collection stands at a commendable ₹33.55 crore after completing its fifth day in theaters.

In the bustling landscape of Bollywood releases, “Sam Bahadur” found itself in a box office clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s “Animal,” which is inching closer to the impressive ₹300 crore mark domestically. Despite the fierce competition, “Sam Bahadur” maintains its ground, demonstrating resilience and consistent audience engagement.
Sam Bahadur Box Office Trajectory
On Tuesday, “Sam Bahadur” reported a Hindi occupancy rate of 21.86%, adding another layer of insight into its box office journey. The film, opening at ₹6.25 crore, achieved a peak of ₹10.3 crore on Sunday, showcasing the initial excitement and positive reception surrounding the biopic of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw.
Sam Bahadur New Song Release and Cast
In tandem with its box office journey, “Sam Bahadur” released a new romantic song titled “Itni Si Baat” on Tuesday. Featuring Vicky Kaushal alongside his onscreen wife, Sanya Malhotra, the song was voiced by Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam, with lyrics penned by the legendary Gulzar. The film also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, marking Vicky Kaushal’s second collaboration with MeghnaGulzar after the acclaimed “Raazi.”
Sam Manekshaw’s Illustrious Career
“Sam Bahadur” delves into the illustrious career of Sam Manekshaw, fondly known as Sam Bahadur, whose military tenure spanned over four decades and five wars. The film explores pivotal moments, including his leadership in the 1971 Indo-Pak war, resulting in the birth of Bangladesh. With Vicky Kaushal portraying the titular role, the biopic sheds light on Manekshaw’s crucial contributions to the Indo-Pak War of 1947 and the liberation of Hyderabad in 1948.
