Cast’s opinion
“Neither the largest nor the richest nation is us. Since everyone plays football, it has the power to shape who we are. Thus, for the next ten years, India must concentrate on building a world-class team’, Ajay Devgn says in the voice-over of the trailer, summarising the main plot point.
Veteran poet Javed Akhtar called Ajay Devgn’s performance in Maidaan “mind-blowing” and lauded him for it. He commented on X, the former Twitter platform, “I watched Maidaan… Every Indian will be inspired by this true narrative to be proud of our specific national accomplishments, which sadly the majority of us are unaware of.”
“A must-see.” “Congratulations to director Amit Sharma, producer Boney Kapoor, and actor Ajay Devgan for an incredible performance,” Akhtar continued.
