29th April,2024, Mumbai: On this International Dance Day, which falls on April 29, actor Saanand Verma argues that dancing improves your body’s suppleness and thus your health. In the long run, he thinks this enhances general wellness. “Dancing represents adaptability, which is essential in life. Being adaptable helps you deal with less emotional and physical problems. I adore this art form and always try to learn new steps. I think that having both physical and mental flexibility is essential for being a good dancer. Similar to how our teeth aren’t flexible and we eventually lose them, flexibility enables you to adjust to whatever comes your way. Developing adaptability is crucial. He says, “You have to embrace and cultivate flexibility if you want to learn dance.”

He says, “My favourite song is ‘Beedi Jalayle Jigar Se Piya’ by Vishal Bharadwaj,” when asked what music he likes to groove to. When I hear this song, I can’t help but dance. It is brilliantly performed by Sunidhi Chauhan.
