Sajid Khan has caused controversy ever since he appeared in Salman Khan’s reality series Bigg Boss 16. In an old interview that was released on Reddit, Sajid talked about his previous relationships at the time. He confirmed being engaged to Gauahar Khan in the video and said that despite having many hookups, he had never wed. After the video, viewers continued to criticise him in the comments.
Sajid Khan became involved in the scandal in 2018 after nine women in the industry accused him of sexual assault. They all worked on numerous projects along with the director. Sajid decided to resign from his role as director of Housefull 4 out of a sense of “moral duty” after his charges caused an online uproar.
In the old video, Sajid can be seen speaking with Kiran Juneja on her show, Koshish Se Kaamyaabi Tak. When the host questioned Sajid about the separation with Gauahar, he replied, “Us waqt mera character bohot dheela tha.” Mai Uss Waqt Ladkiyon Ke Sath Bhoom Raah and Bohot Jhoot Bol Raah Aise koi badtameezi nahin ki, har ladki ko, “I love you, would you marry me?” bolta tha. (At the time, I had a bad reputation. I once went out and told a girl a lie as we were walking around. Even though I never misbehaved with anyone, I used to make offers to everyone.
Ironically, Sajid said, he ought to have been married 350 times by that point if events had gone his way. In addition, he claimed that every woman in his life must be abandoning him while also abusing him. He asserted that the “I love you” phase of his relationship was self-indulgent and emphasised the value of friendship in a happy marriage. Because it takes two people some time to become friends after getting married, he contends, arranged marriages in India are successful because they help the pair sustain their relationship. True love stories are known for their ups and downs. He added that it also depends on each individual.
Sajid continued by stating that males frequently make more compromises than women and equating marriage to the merger of two businesses. He asserted that today’s strong women are to blame for relationships failing so frequently. Modern women will flee from you if you act innocently or like a helpless damsel in distress. I’m happy that there is a lot more awareness regarding women today because my mother and sister both worked while I was growing up.
Sajid’s comments, on the other hand, have not been well received on the internet. One Reddit user wrote in the comments section, “This guy is garbage. He asserted that he was aware of the difficulties women faced because he grew up in a home with a working mother and sister. He exploited those who were already struggling and were vulnerable, which is really reprehensible. It also demonstrates how entitled he feels to play the lead in Big Boss and put in an effort to make amends in the wake of #metoo. It is disgusting. Another person stated that Creep thinks he’s some playboy. Another comment read, “Pathetic.”
