26th April,2024, Mumbai: Actress Shriya Pilgaonkar, who will reprise her role as journalist Radha Bhargava in Season 2 of the streaming series “The Broken News,” talked about the news that she was the adopted child of famous parents Sachin and Supriya in a recent interview with India Today.
Shriya reaction to the rumours circulated claiming that she was adopted by her parents, which is wholly false
Shriya stated, “There was a random article that said I was adopted,” in an interview with India Today. I’m not adopted, sorry. Unexpected rumours circulated claiming that I was adopted by my parents, which is wholly false.“I won’t even have to defend this because I won’t be posting my birth certificate on Instagram to support my claims. Although it’s untrue, this was certainly hilarious, she continued, “but other than that, no other scandals have been reported about me.”

Regarding “The Broken News,” according to Shriya, the show emphasises the idea that consuming news cannot be done in a single direction. Fake news is one of them, and we all know how quickly sensationalised stories can go viral instead of the real facts and truth. We highlight in our series that it is also the responsibility of news consumers to ensure that they are able to separate fact from fiction,” she continued.
