Review: Bollywood’s latest offering, Tiku Weds Sheru, left audiences and critics disappointed. Produced by Kangana Ranaut and directed by Sai Kabir, the film falls short of expectations, lacking the charm and charm that made Tanu Weds Manu a success newly developed, Tiku Weds Sheru struggles to find his feet.
The story revolves around Sheru (played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui), a young artist and businessman, who inexplicably gets a marriage proposal from Bhopal to Tasleem (Avneet Kaur) Sheru pretends to be from a noble family and he persuades Tasleem’s family to adopt him. Tasleem agrees to marry Sheru as an escape from her family and promises to get a job in Bollywood. But the film fails to exploit the possibilities of comedy or romanticism, instead indulging in unimportant characters and details
Tiku Weds Sheru introduces a host of unnecessary characters, including gangsters, politicians and seedy individuals from the film industry, who serve to confuse and weaken the central plot though it has the potential to show a B -the dark underbelly of the film world Either fails and as a result the film meanders, loses focus, and leaves viewers wondering what purpose these subplots serve.
With better direction and a stronger script, Tiku Weds Sheru could have been a touching story of two individuals who get married for the wrong reasons but find love amidst their trials. Unfortunately, this film falls short of its potential, leaving the audience disappointed and engrossed. Despite the occasional comedy and sincere efforts of Avneet Kaur, the film struggles to develop and eventually gives up any chance of success
Performances: Despite Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s undeniable talent and exceptional comic timing, Tiku Weds Sheru fails to make the most of his skills. Siddiqui’s recent choice of romantic comedy roles seems doubtful, and the film suffers badly from poorly cast characters and poor writing Avneet Kaur tries her best to navigate a flawed plot in her the first main role but is hindered by the revised nature of his character’s journey
Lastly, Tiku Weds Sheru proves to be a bland production that fails to impress its audience. From the disjointed plot to the underutilization of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s talent, the film falls short of expectations. Though it could have been a memorable romantic comedy, Tiku Weds Sheru ultimately misses the mark, leaving viewers craving for a more satisfying cinematic experience
