The first teaser for the new web series “Dahaad” was released on Wednesday, featuring Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role. Created by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, and directed by Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi, the teaser offers a glimpse of the gritty thriller. “Dahaad” also stars Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah in important roles.
This marks Sonakshi Sinha’s digital debut, portraying a fierce lady cop determined to solve a brutal murder case. The teaser delves into the case, revealing the suspected murders of 27 women, with no complaints or witnesses. As Sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati, the protagonist rises against the crime to bring justice.
“Dahaad” is an 8-part crime drama that centers around Sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati and her colleagues at a small-town police station. The story kicks off with a series of mysterious deaths of women in public bathrooms, and Anjali is assigned to investigate. Initially believed to be straightforward suicides, Anjali soon begins to suspect that a serial killer is at large. As the cases unravel, the series follows Anjali’s relentless pursuit of the truth, as she races against time to piece together evidence and prevent more innocent lives from being lost. The show showcases a gripping cat-and-mouse game between a seasoned criminal and a determined underdog cop, making for a thrilling and suspenseful narrative.
