Prior to opening ceremony of Ayodhya Ram Mandir, PM Modi would inaugurate the Ayodhya Airport which is named by popular hindu poet Maharishi Valmiki. Maharishi Valmiki is credited for writing the Famous epic Mahabharata.
PM Modi would inaugurate the Airport on Friday, 30th December. The opening flight is from Delhi Airport to Ayodhya Airport by Indigo flights. The commercial flights are scheduled to start from 6th January. Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that PM Modi resolved to build modern airports and railway stations.
The airport is said to be 6500 sq m in area and would be capable of serving a million passengers annually. The airport is situated 15 km away from the main city of Ayodhya.
The Airport is facilitated with all the essentials and amenities needed for convenience.
PM Modi is expected to inaugurate various other projects too which include various rail projects and infrastructure projects. Rail projects include starting two new trains, Amrit Bharat trains (Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express and Malda Town-Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminus (Bengaluru) Amrit Bharat Express) and six new Vande Bharat trains.
The infrastructure projects include extension of NH 27.
