29th February,2024, Mumbai: Though he may not be a fashionista, actor Vaquar Shaikh, who is presently starring in “Anupamaa,” enjoys keeping up with the newest styles. “I try to wear something that is in style, and I do keep up with fashion,” he remarked.
I try to wear flannel checks because they’re in right now. Since Korean trousers have arrived, I make an effort to stay informed about the latest developments. There are numerous locations and websites on Instagram where you may learn about current events and new arrivals. I therefore like to get items that are in style,” he continued.
For Vaquar comfort is the key to style
“I define fashion as something that should be both sufficiently trendy and incredibly comfy for the wearer. When it comes to fashion, he stated, one should be able to carry it off while yet making it visible to others. He enjoys following trends, although he doesn’t really have any style icons. “I don’t follow anybody, but when you see all the social sites, you get to know what’s really in, and if you like something, you don’t mind trying it, and it depends where you’re going,” he remarked. It depends on if you’re heading to a formal event, a wedding, or just a friendly get-together with pals. I design my own look; it may differ somewhat, but it is uniquely me.
“Either wear jeans and some boots, and with a nice loose t-shirt, or on days I don’t really want to wear boots, I wear track pants with t-shirts, sneakers and sunglasses,” he replied when asked about his go-to look.
I make an effort to stay informed: About fashion
But in terms of hue, he prefers it dark and strong. Mostly in the dark. My wife is often moaning that I always buy black and blue bottoms for my trousers and tracksuits, but I also wear a lot of colourful t-shirts for my shirts. I like to play around with my pullovers and t-shirts,” he remarked.
Having worked as an actor for more than 20 years, Vaquar acknowledged that most of the time, performers are under pressure to appear well. However, he continued, “Anytime you are in the public eye, you are expected to look well.” Actors need to dress nicely for the simple reason that people recognise, see, and appreciate them. Occasionally a little silly, but cosy. Make it worthwhile for them to stare at you because they will.
I don’t play around too much with my appearance. I enjoy experimenting with striking hues and patterns that aren’t too unconventional. However, as an actor, you are under pressure. Having nice hair and appearance makes you feel happy. When you look well-groomed, wear excellent clothes, smell good, and have more confidence, your hair looks good too,” he continued.
