Fans of BTS will be able to watch the two solo documentaries, j-hope IN THE BOX and SUGA: Road to D-Day, in theatres for a brand-new and exciting experience. The aforementioned shows will begin airing on June 17 in all countries for a brief period of time. Depending on the local time zones, global ticket sales will start on May 16 or 17. On the same day, a pair of teaser posters and a coming soon announcement were released.
The following is the timetable for the BTS solo documentaries:
May 16 at 4 p.m. PDT/7 p.m. EDT
May 17 at 12 a.m. BST, 1 a.m. CEST, and 8 a.m. KST
The documentary, which debuted on February 17 on Disney+ and Weverse, is focused on BTS member J-Hope’s solo debut with “Jack In The Box.” In order to shed his “sunshine” persona and reveal a more complex side of himself, the rapper held a pre-release listening party to which he invited close friends, collaborators, representatives of the music industry, and other BTS members. J-Hope explores the pressure he felt as the first BTS member to make an official solo debut in the documentary. Along with some of his most emotional moments, the behind-the-scenes footage for his legendary Lollapalooza 2022 performance was also shown.
On the other side, SUGA’s solo documentary and his debut solo album, “D-DAY,” both came out on the same day. The BTS member travelling the world to work on his songs gave viewers a closer glimpse at what happens during the making of top-charting albums. In front of his devoted staff, SUGA bares his thoughts and openly swears on camera during his meetings with Steve Aoki, Anderson.Paak, Halsey, and Ryuichi Sakamoto.
