Blake Lively, a fan favourite at the Met Gala, will not attend this year’s annual fashion event. She made a statement in her Atelier Versace gown as she attended the event with husband Ryan Reynolds. She is renowned for her red carpet elegance. She won’t, however, be present at the celebration this year. While at a recent event in New York City, Blake recently gave the news media the confirmation.
In February, Blake and Ryan welcomed their fourth child. She made her fourth pregnancy public in September by walking the red carpet at the 10th Annual Forbes Power Women’s Summit while sporting a baby bump. The Gossip Girl actor didn’t make an official announcement about her child’s birth, though.
However, she only shared a picture of herself with Ryan and Tammy, Ryan’s mother. It stated, “Puppy Bowl Sunday 2023,” and featured her sans the pregnancy belly. “been active,” she added. James, Inez, and Betty are the three daughters of the couple.
Blake Lively reportedly told E News that she won’t be going to the next Met Gala on May 1. She did, however, add that she will be observing how others dress for the red carpet. At the opening of Tiffany & Co.’s flagship store in NYC, she told reporters, “I will be watching.” She also joked that she would wear her favourite Met Gala 2022 ensemble “on my couch on Monday.”
Blake’s attire at the Met Gala the previous year grabbed attention. She changed into an elaborately detailed metallic rose gold gown with an exaggerated bow. When the bow was undone and a green outfit was revealed, she displayed a stunning transformation on the red carpet. Last year’s Met Gala had “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” as its theme.
Every year on the first Monday in May, the who’s who of the fashion and entertainment sectors gather for the Met Gala, which is always a star-studded affair with a number of superstars in attendance. It is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and was organised by Anna Wintour, a former editor of Vogue. The focus of this year’s theme, Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, is the late designer who, during the course of his lengthy career at Chanel, Fendi, and other luxury brands, left an indelible impact on high fashion.
