Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is being promoted admirably by director James Gunn and his crew in advance of its May release. The second trailer for the next Guardians of the Galaxy film was released at this year’s Super Bowl LVII, and Chukwudi Iwujiwas introduced as the “narcissistic, sociopathic” High Evolutionary at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con.
The most recent ploy takes the guise of a video called Naming. Gunn provided Collider with an exclusive look at the trailer, which he described as a “dark trip into Rocket Raccoon’s past.” In addition to Rocket, the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 teaser trailer introduces three other characters: Floor the Rabbit, Teefsthe Walrus, and Lylla the Otter.
Bradley Cooper provided the voice for Rocket, but AsimChaudhry and Mikaela Hoover provided the voices for Teefs the Walrus and Floor the Rabbit.
However, Lylla the Otter’s interpretation in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 video was what got internet users’ attention. The cause? It’s intriguing that Lylla is included because Linda Cardellini, who is providing the voice for Lylla, previously portrayed Hawkeye’s wife Laura Barton in several Marvel productions.
Cardellini made her acting debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron(2015) as Laura Barton. In Avengers: Endgame (2019) and the Hawkeye series (2021), she made further appearances as the superhero’s wife. We discovered that she was S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 19 through the Disney programme.
In the meantime, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be in theatres on 5 May.
Naming depicts Rocket and his friends as participants in a High Evolutionary experiment. They are kept in unclean circumstances and are confined. The four animals have each other for company despite their isolation and torment.
The otter suggests that they would need names when Sire, aka the High Evolutionary, “moves us to the new world,” as “89212 is not really a name,” in a rare emotional moment seen in the most recent clip.
The walrus Introduces himself as Teefs, the rabbit introduces herself as Floor, and she calls herself Lylla. The raccoon announces himself as our very own, fan-favorite Rocket when it is his turn.
Following the release of the video, fans emphasised Cardellini’sdual roles in the Marvel films on Twitter. One person also brought up Michelle Yeoh and Gemma Chan, who both performed dual roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Along with the actors already stated, the MCU’s second film of 2023 also stars Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Karen Gillanas Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, and Vin Diesel as Groot.
