Actor John Cusack, who previously backed the farmers’ strike and the demonstration against the Citizenship Amendment Act in India, has now backed Congressman Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra.
On Saturday, John Cusack weighed in in favour of Rahul Gandhi’s “Bharat Jodo Yatra,” tweeting that the Indian lawmaker was “walking to Kashmir from Kerala.”
Later, when a Twitter user praised John Cusack for supporting Rahul, he replied, “Yes – solidarity – to all anti-fascists everywhere!”
The 3,500-km long “Bharat Jodo Yatra”—which spans 12 states—will go from Kanyakumari to Kashmir in 150 days. The Yatra will depart from Kerala and travel through the state for the following 18 days before arriving in Karnataka on September 30. Before travelling further north, it will spend 21 days in Karnataka. Every day, the Padyatra (march) will travel 25 kilometres.
