27th March, Mumbai: Actor from Creed III is accused of strangling, assaulting, and harassing a lady after she suffered head and neck injuries. The actor Jonathan Majors was taken into custody in New York on suspicion of assault, harassment, and strangling. According to a Los Angeles Times report, Majors’s lawyer has claimed that the complainant in the case has renounced the assault claims after the arrest.
According to New York City police, Majors, the hero of Creed III and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, got into a domestic argument with a 30-year-old woman on Saturday. A 911 call from inside an apartment in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighbourhood was answered by police at around 11 a.m. According to a police spokesperson, “the victim reported police she was assaulted.” “Without incident, officers took the 33-year-old man into custody. The person was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition despite suffering minor head and neck injuries. As of Saturday night, Majors was no longer in police custody, according to the police.
Majors’s representative disputed that the actor had done anything improper. The spokesman wrote in an email, “He hasn’t done anything illegal. “We anticipate clearing his name and putting this right.”
However, according to a story from the LA Times, Majors’s solicitor, Priya Chaudhry, had informed the paper that her office had gotten “two written declarations from the woman recanting these charges.” One of the Hollywood stars who is rising the quickest is Majors. Majors has starred in Da 5 Bloods, The Harder They Fall, and last year’s Devotion since making his breakthrough in the 2019 film The Last Black Man in San Francisco. He also appears in Magazine Dreams, a recent submission to the Sundance Film Festival, which Searchlight Pictures will distribute in December.
