Nani addresses a reporter’s uneasy query regarding intimate scenes in his films
At the pre-release event for Nani’s latest film, “Hi Nanna,” a reporter raised a rather uncomfortable question regarding the presence of kissing scenes in his movies. The reporter inquired whether these scenes were a script requirement or if Nani personally requested the directors to include them. In response, Nani handled the query with composure and grace, explaining that not all of his films include such scenes.
When the reporter asserted that every one of his films had a lip-lock moment, Nani clarified that movies like “Ante Sundaraniki” and “Dasara” did not feature any kissing scenes. The actor emphasized that if the script calls for such a scene, he must perform it, and as an actor, he is committed to realizing the director’s vision. He went on to clarify that it’s not a matter of personal choice.
Nani shared that returning home after shooting a kissing scene often leads to disagreements with his wife. Nevertheless, he emphasized that he’s merely adhering to the director’s vision. Despite the uncomfortable question, Nani responded calmly, maintaining his composure. It’s worth noting that the Hi Nanna teaser included kissing scenes between Nani and his co-star, Mrunal Thakur.
