16th April, 2024, Mumbai: Megha Sharma, who has appeared in television series including Mahakali, Anth Hi Aarambh Hai, and Baal Krishna, has left the show Pandya Store. Her decision was influenced by her lack of screen time and prospects.
Megha wasn’t receiving the chance to perform, even though she acknowledged that it was a difficult choice!
“I was a part of the show for about 9–10 months, and I really enjoyed my role for the first 4 months,” the actress stated. However, things soon became repetitive, and I stopped developing as a person. I felt like I was reaching a dead end because I wasn’t spending a lot of time on screens, so I decided to stop. Because my character wasn’t growing and I wasn’t getting any screen time or lines, I decided to leave the show. I gave it a lot of thought, but ultimately I had to decide to go since I wasn’t being given many opportunities to shine. She emphasised that she wasn’t receiving the chance to perform, even though she acknowledged that it was a difficult choice.
It was a difficult choice because I had a terrific time working with the team. However, I require performance opportunities as an actor. When such chances were absent, I recognised that, in order to advance, I had to make a step forward. I therefore decided to go in order to take advantage of other opportunities. As I investigate new ideas, I’m excited to see what the future has in store for me right now,” she remarked.
Megha thinks that being an actor is a never-ending struggle, and she always approaches obstacles with positivity.
It just depends on your perspective—whether favourable or unfavourable—on that conflict. When faced with obstacles, some individuals give up, but if you take a positive attitude, you keep going until you succeed. Therefore, I think it’s important to look forward and keep going despite obstacles. You shouldn’t stay home by yourself, she stated.
Which type of work are you now considering? As an actor, I don’t have a particular kind of work in mind. Work is work is work. Since I’m an actress and a performer by nature, it’s crucial that you give your best in each part you’re given. It is therefore disappointing when you are not given the chance to accomplish it. That’s precisely what occurred with me,” she concluded.
