6th June 2023, Mumbai: Adah Sharma’s latest film, The Kerala Story, is experiencing a decline in its box office collection. On June 5, the movie recorded its lowest earning of Rs 75 lakh in India. Since its release more than a month ago, Sudipto Sen’s directorial venture, The Kerala Story, has enjoyed a successful run in theaters. However, after a strong start, the film’s collection has been gradually slowing down. On June 5, it witnessed its lowest earning to date.
Box office collection
Despite the controversies surrounding The Kerala Story, the film made its way to theaters on May 5 and initially performed well at the box office. By Day 18, it had crossed the impressive milestone of Rs 200 crore. However, since then, the film’s collection has been on a downward trend. According to early trade estimates, on Day 32, June 5, the film garnered a mere Rs 75 lakh at the box office. As a result, the total collection of The Kerala Story now stands at Rs 236.87 crore, bringing it closer to the Rs 240 crore mark.

On June 5, TKS had an overall Hindi occupancy of 13.22 percent. Sudipto Sen helms the film, with Vipul Amrutlal Shah serving as the producer. The Kerala Story has been the subject of scrutiny ever since its trailer was released. Despite its recent decline in box office earnings, The Kerala Story had a strong start and managed to achieve noteworthy milestones. Adah Sharma’s portrayal and the film’s compelling narrative have garnered attention and interest from audiences. As the box office numbers indicate, the film has made a significant impact in the industry.
