9th May 2023, Mumbai: The much-anticipated murder mystery Neeyat’s international theatrical release date was revealed by Abundantia Entertainment and Prime Video. On July 7, 2023, the fascinating whodunnit, starring Vidya Balan as the main character, will debut in theatres. Anu Menon, who previously directed Vidya Balan in the 2020 smash hit “Shakuntala Devi,” which is based on the life and times of the woman dubbed the “human computer,” is behind the camera for Neeyat. A number of episodes of the critically acclaimed international television series “Killing Eve” were directed most recently by Anu Menon. Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Neeraj Kabi, Amrita Puri, Shahana Goswami, Niki Walia, Dipannita Sharma, Shashank Arora, Prajakta Koli, Danesh Razvi, Ishika Mehra, and Madhav Deval all play significant roles in Neeyat’s amazing ensemble cast. The movie’s first poster has just released.
Vidya Balan unveiled the first poster for her forthcoming movie via her Instagram page. She posted the image on Facebook and said, “Motives will be revealed! The truth will stun you! Only in theatres, #Neeyat debuts on July 7, 2023. A view of the world is provided by the poster.
The poster which was circulated by Prime Videos plus all of the cast members offers a tiniest glimpse at the upcoming drama. In an antler horns styled chandelier, shots of various cast members (or in this case the suspects) hand onto it, giving true serial –esque vibes. Sitting on the chandelier are various objects: A blood coated dagger, a sharp scissors, a spear, an axe, a glock, perfume, poison bottle and various lighters; what do they suggest? A murder weapon? A clue? Evidence?
The gripping thriller follows Vidya Balan’s character, an unusual detective, as she looks into a string of enigmatic deaths at a billionaire’s party where every suspect is hiding something. If you’re a fan of Hollywood movies such as Knives Out or Death on the Nile, then this movie is going to be at the top of your watchlist.
Anu Menon, best known for her work on the popular television show “Killing Eve,” co-wrote the script for the upcoming movie “Neeyat” with Priya Venkataraman, Advaita Kala, and Girvani Dhyani. Kausar Munir provided the dialogue.
Vidya Balan makes her theatrical comeback with the movie following a successful stint on digital media with three critically praised flicks. She has prior roles in the pandemic films Shakuntala Devi, Sherni, and Jalsa, all of which were slated for digital release. Mission Mangal, which starred Akshay Kumar and was released in 2019, was her most recent feature film.
