10th June 2023, Mumbai: After three successful movies in the Dabangg franchise, fans have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of Dabangg 4. However, it seems that the much-awaited film may face unforeseen delays as reports suggest that Salman Khan has rejected the script provided by director Tigmanshu Dhulia, calling for a complete rewrite.
According to a source close to the production unit, the Dabangg franchise has hit a ‘dead end’ as Salman Khan expressed his dissatisfaction with the script. Initially, Tigmanshu Dhulia was tasked with both writing and directing Dabangg 4, but Salman’s discontent with the end result has raised questions about the project’s future. It remains unclear whether Tigmanshu Dhulia will be given the opportunity to rework the script or if another filmmaker will step in to salvage the situation. The uncertainty surrounding the directorship of the film has left fans wondering about the eventual direction of Dabangg 4.
It’s worth noting that the first Dabangg film was written by Abhinav Kashyap, but subsequent installments were taken over by Arbaaz Khan following a clash between the Khans and Kashyap. Dabangg 3, on the other hand, was directed by Prabhudeva. Joining Salman Khan in the film is Katrina Kaif, reprising her role as the super-spy Zoya. Emraan Hashmi has been cast as the antagonist, and the film is helmed by director Maneesh Sharma. Tiger 3 is set for a theatrical release during this year’s Diwali festivities.
Salman Khan also made a cameo appearance in the blockbuster film Pathaan, fueling rumors that YRF is planning a film that will pit Tiger against Pathaan. His most recent release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, a family entertainer, received mixed reviews from both fans and critics. As the fate of Dabangg 4 hangs in the balance, fans eagerly await updates on the script rewrite and the directorial decisions that will shape the future of the beloved franchise.
