22nd March, Mumbai: Actress Rani Mukerji marked her 45th birthday by paying a visit to the famous Kamakhya Temple in Assam. Images of her standing with folded hands before the temple have been circulating online. Rani appeared lovely in a pink suit with a tilak on her forehead and a garland adorning her neck, as is customary for temple visits in India.
The Kamakhya Temple in Assam is a renowned Hindu temple, this temple is dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya, and it’s believed to be one of the most powerful shrines in India.
Rani Mukerji also visited the renowned Sri Harmandir Sahib or Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab to seek divine blessings a few days ago. In terms of her professional pursuits, Rani has recently released a movie called ‘Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway.
Rani Mukerji portrays the character of a mother fighting against the government for her children in her latest film, ‘Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway’. The movie is based on Sagarika Chakaraborty’s book, ‘The Journey of a Mother’, and is directed by Ashima Chibber. Along with Rani, the movie features a talented cast that includes Neena Gupta, Jim Sarbh, and Anirban Bhattacharya, among others. The film, which hit theatres on March 17, has received critical acclaim for Rani’s performance. Sagarika Chatterjee’s story is about her fight against the Norwegian government for the right to reunite with her children after they were taken away and placed in foster care until they turned 18. On its opening day, ‘Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway’ earned Rs 1.27 crore at the box office.
