Yadav talks about ‘Potholes’ Concern and Influence of Films
When Rajpal Yadav was asked to talk about the film and whether has he ever been influenced by films, he very generously explained and etched great examples for the audience. He said, “Of course, I have been influenced by many films, I’ve been doing theatre since I was 15 years and then films all my life, there are many topics that coincide with our film industry. Just like ‘Potholes’. Well it is just that when you see something interesting and entertaining you also tend to learn. Remember in school, the tables taught to us in a story format or a musical way, could always be recalled by us, but the others, no I never remembered them. So what I am trying to say is that this film is based on a true story and a true concern. ‘Potholes’, they are very dangerous. You never know who falls in them, your dog, your kid and the list goes on. There are potholes in a person’s life too. Everyone says to be careful from the pothole, but nobody will cover the pothole. Why? If you can walk over it, get it covered too.” Rajpal Yadav believes that this film will inspire and create a sense of responsibility towards ‘Potholes’.
Rajpal Yadav also said that, being a son of a farmer, he always wished to work in films that create awareness about the problems faced by farmers. He feels that this is a great start and wishes everything continues to work the way it is.
Rajpal Says “I have been a Husband, but never a Father”
In ‘Kaam Chalu Hain’, Rajpal Yadav is portraying a role of a father, of a girl child. He says, “I have portrayed the role of a husband many times, but a father, for the first time and I am very grateful for this. I’ve put in efforts and I hope I gave justice to this role.” According to Rajpal Yadav, “ ‘Kaam Chalu Hain’ film is lesson for many parents and a cause of prevention from such accidents and incidents, because the loss of losing a child is very heart-breaking.”
Significance of the Film by Rajpal’s POV; ‘What makes it Different?’
Rajpal Yadav feels that this movie is quite different from all the movies he has ever done, he is known for comedy, but it doesn’t stop him from giving a mind blowing performance in other genres. He thinks that the director, Palaash Muchhal has quite the eye-catching skills for directing a film based on a real story and a real concern. Palaash Muchhal says, “That the things people see but not work on, is probably something I work on, God gifted I could say.”
Rajpal Will Join A Political Party?
When asked to Rajpal Yadav, “Are you planning to join any political party?” He responded with, “No, as of now nothing, I want to focus on my acting, but it is weird as people assume because of that ‘flag dance video’ that I have joined something. I go here people say you’ve joined this, I go there people say you’ve joined that.”
Other than this, Rajpal Yadav loves to be different than others and enjoys every role he portrays. Rajpal Yadav also said, “I am dancing as the film has paved it’s way to The Cannes Film Festival.”
