In the historical drama The Legend of Maula Jatt, Pakistani actresses Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan—known for their on-screen romance in the 2014 drama Humsafar—reunited. Since its October 13 release, the movie has become a smash hit. It is the most expensive movie made in Pakistan to date. It turns out that Karan Johar very recently saw the film.
The director recently spent time in Dubai on vacation with his children Roohi and Yash. He took a break to see the movie, and the images quickly gained popularity. The name of the dialogue writer Nasir Adeeb may be seen in the backdrop of one of the pictures.
Fascinatingly, Fawad appeared in both Karan Johar’s final film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and Kapoor & Sons from Sharma Productions.
The Punjabi-language movie, a replica of the 1979 classic Maula Jatt, stars Mahira as Mukkho and Fawad as Maula Jatt. The movie is set in an untold era when heroes were born and tales were carved in soil stained with blood. With a troubled background, tough prizefighter Maula Jatt wants retribution against Noori Natt, the most feared warrior in the Punjab region.
Additionally, the cast of the movie includes Gohar Rasheed as Makha, Humaima Malik as Daro, Faris Shafi as Mooda, and Hamza Ali Abbasi as Noori Natt. Encyclomedia, owned by Ammara Hikmat, and Lashari Films are the producers. Additional actors in the movie include Raheela Agha, Zia Khan, Saima Baloch, Nayyer Ejaz, Faris Shafi, Ali Azmat, Shafqat Cheema, and Mirza Gohar Rasheed. The movie debuts on October 13 in theatres.
Recently, Fawad and veteran cricketer Wasim Akram announced their upcoming Money Back Guaranteed. Mahira was last saw in the action-comedy Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad from Pakistan in 2022.
