1 November 2023, Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Tejas’ is facing disappointment at the box office. The movie has managed to earn only Rs 4.50 crore until now. Kangana Ranaut takes the lead role in ‘Tejas’, which hit theaters on October 27. The film is directed by Sarvesh Mewara.
Tejas Struggles at the Box Office
‘Tejas’ is struggling to make an impact at the box office, with collections dropping further. On October 31, it earned just Rs 35 lakh. In the film, Kangana portrays the character of Tejas Gill, an air force officer. ‘Tejas’ faced competition from Vikrant Massey’s ’12th Fail’ in theaters.
Tejas Decline in Box Office Collection
Despite its release on October 27, ‘Tejas’ has not seen any significant growth in box office collections. On October 31, it could only muster about Rs 35 lakh, bringing the total box office collection in India to Rs 4.50 crore. The film recorded a 5.80 percent overall occupancy on October 31.
Kangana’s Plea to Support Theatrical Releases
Kangana Ranaut has appealed to her fans and audiences to support theatrical releases. In a video message, she emphasized the need for people to watch ‘Tejas’ in theaters and not wait for its OTT release. She highlighted the challenges faced by theaters due to declining footfalls, even with free tickets and offers.

‘Tejas’ is a film written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. Despite its cast and subject matter, the film has faced difficulties in drawing audiences to theaters.
