9 November 2023, Mumbai: ‘Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ continues its phenomenal box office journey, crossing the ₹350 crore milestone on its second Friday, marking a remarkable achievement for the Sandeep Reddy Vanga-helmed film. Despite facing criticism for its portrayal of violence and misogyny, ‘Animal’ sustains its momentum with an estimated ₹23.5 crore on day 8, maintaining a steady pace at the ticket counters.
Multi-Lingual Box Office Performance
The film garnered an overall occupancy of 29.41% for its Hindi version on Friday, accumulating a total earning of ₹361.08 crore in India. During its first week, ‘Animal’ amassed ₹338 crore from various languages, comprising ₹300.81 crore from Hindi, ₹33.45 crore from Telugu, ₹2.73 crore from Tamil, ₹0.52 crore from Kannada, and ₹0.07 crore from Malayalam, establishing its robust box office dominance.
Global Success and Milestone
On the global front, ‘Animal’ resonates strongly, amassing an impressive ₹563.3 crore. The film’s official page celebrated this feat, hinting at an ‘Epic Triumph’ while closing the gap towards surpassing the box office collection of Ranbir-starrer ‘Sanju’.
