8th June 2023,Mumbai: Arshad Warsi, known for bringing some of the most iconic characters to life in Indian cinema, is currently enjoying success with his crime-thriller web series, Asur 2. The anticipation for sequels is skyrocketing as fans eagerly await the return of their beloved actors and actresses reprising their cherished roles. Arshad himself has confirmed that he will be reviving his memorable character, Jagdish Tyagi, popularly known as Jolly.
The actor has left his mark In several successful sequel films, including Dhamaal, Golmaal, and Munna Bhai MBBS. Currently, Arshad is gearing up to reprise his role as Jolly in Jolly LLB 3, a fact he recently shared in an interview with an entertainment website. “Jolly LLB 3 with Akshay is happening,” he declared, shedding light on the project’s progress. According to Arshad, the film is slated to commence production next year.
Arshad’s collaboration with Akshay Kumar is not new, as they have previously worked together in the film Bachchhan Paandey. When discussing the sequels to his previous movies, Arshad mentioned, “The writer of Dhamaal called me and shared that he is working on the next installment. As for Golmaal 5, I believe Rohit (Shetty) will reach out to us one day to plan a shoot in Goa. He’s capable of making it happen.”
The duo of Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi, who played Circuit in the Munna Bhai films, has garnered immense love and adoration from the audience. When asked about the possibility of a return for Munna Bhai, Arshad revealed, “Munna Bhai 3 is not happening at the moment. While Sanjay (Dutt) and I are eager for it, Raju (Hirani) wants to create it, and Vidhu (Vinod Chopra) wants to produce it, the project is currently on hold.”
Looking ahead, Arshad Warsi has an exciting lineup of future projects. Asur’s second season has recently been released, garnering significant attention. Additionally, Arshad has made an appearance in the web series Modern Love: Mumbai. Fans can also look forward to seeing him reunite with Sanjay Dutt in an upcoming hilarious film, adding to the anticipation surrounding his upcoming ventures.
