Tunisha Sharma, 20, reportedly committed suicide on Saturday. On the set of her TV show, the actor who was playing the lead part in Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul killed her. Tunisha used the restroom during the tea break, according to set sources. People went to check when she didn’t return after a while and discovered she had died. She was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.
On Sunday, Vanita Sharma, the mother of Ali Baba co-star Tunisha Sharma, lodged a complaint against Sheezan M. Khan. Vanita revealed that Sheezan had an affair with Tunisha in a statement to the media. “At first, he was dating her and made promises to marry her, but they subsequently broke up. Even though he was already seeing another lady, he nonetheless started dating Tunisha and abused her for three to four months. He ought to pay for it,” she replied.
Sheezan was charged with aiding suicide after the allegation, and a Vasai court sentenced her to four days in police prison on Sunday. The police, according to Khan’s attorney, have not discovered any proof, and his detention is based only on claims.
The Maharashtra government must form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to look into Tunisha Sharma’s death, according to the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA), which made this demand on Sunday.
“We demand that the government create a SIT and conduct a thorough probe into the suicide of Tunisha Sharma. I visited the location of Tunisha Sharma’s suicide today. People were afraid, I discovered. According to Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, president of the AICWA, something must have gone wrong. The set is not safe for women (of the television show that Tunisha was shooting for). The scene is in a highly isolated area where it is unsafe for anybody to travel. The government has to take notice of this issue and order a SIT investigation into the tragedy. After the investigation, a lot of information will surface,” said the AICWA president.
Tunisha Sharma’s last rituals was held on December 27 in Mumbai’s Mira Road neighbourhood.
