Monika Bhadoriya opened up about enduring a series of family tragedies, losing her mother and grandmother within a short span of time. These devastating losses, coupled with the challenging work environment on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, pushed her to the brink. She confessed that the overwhelming pain and torment made her contemplate suicide. Monika was deeply hurt by the show’s makers, who commented, “Her father died, and we gave the money. We gave the money to treat her ill mother.” These words had a profound impact on her well-being.
Moreover, Monika Bhadoriya expressed how the behavior and comments of the individuals on the TMKOC sets saddened her to the point where she lost her enthusiasm for the show and contemplated leaving. She had once dreamed of bringing her parents to the sets of the show, but witnessing the toxic atmosphere shattered that aspiration. She vowed never to invite her parents to the sets after experiencing the unfavorable environment.
Recalling a heartbreaking moment, Monika shared that during her mother’s final days battling illness, she had considered bringing her to the sets to show her where she worked. However, due to the circumstances created by the environment on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, this became an impossible wish. The actress highlighted that the toxic atmosphere ultimately led her to quit the show, emphasizing the importance of self-respect over monetary considerations.
For those unaware, Monika Bhadoriya portrayed the role of Bawri in the sitcom and was associated with the show for several years before her departure in 2019. Following her exit, Navina Wadekar stepped in to take on the character of Bawri.
