A well-known television personality, Sunil Holkar became well-known after appearing in the longest-running sitcom of all time, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actor appeared in several shows over the years in addition to joining several successful Marathi films and even performing in theatre. The entertainment industry has been greatly impacted by Sunil’s tragic passing. After a protracted struggle with liver cirrhosis for which he was receiving treatment, the actor passed away. On January 13, 2023, Sunil passed away at the age of 40. According to reports, the actor had liver cirrhosis and was receiving therapy for it.
Speaking about his demise, Sunil was aware of his failing condition and felt it coming. Sunil wanted to express his gratitude to everyone for their support and to express his regret if he had ever offended anyone.
The translation of Sunil’s last WhatsApp status in Marathi is: “This is my final message to you all, friends. This person you know has gone to the heavenly home. Please accept my apologies if I’ve ever said something incorrectly or made a mistake. I asked a friend to submit this on my behalf, so goodbye.”
Sunil Holkar’s passing was also mourned by the Cine & TV Artists Association. Along with a picture of the actor, they tweeted, “CINTAA sends its condolences on the loss of Sunil Holkar (Member since 2017)”.
