4th March,2024, Mumbai: “When I was 5 years old, I performed a Shiv Stuti and played the lead role of Shiv in a local Indore dance competition, which I won,” he says, recalling the beginning of his dancing career. When I was nine years old, I competed in a school competition and won first place in both the Ganesh Vandana and the Radha Krishna Dance. In those performances, I also played the main roles of Ganesh and Krishna. After these successes, there was no turning back; I realised that dancing was my vocation.
Neema On Whether He Ever Had Dance Training
In response to the question of whether he had dance training, he states, “I did take training, but that was only for four months.” I believe that dancing is ingrained in me and has always come rather easy to me. Because I enjoy dancing, I also choreograph my own dances. I occasionally ask my brother, who is an amazing dancer, for assistance.
“There is no relationship between dance and any kind of show, be it a mythological show, or a regular one, because they both are different topics,” the actor says, adding that the lack of dancing moments in Shiv Shakti does not worry him. However, I record reels of all the new Bollywood songs and share them on social media whenever I have free time. I utilise the time I have in between Shiv Shakti shootings to create dance clips.
Hrithik Roshan is best Bollywood dancer says Neema
When you ask him which Bollywood dancer he likes best, he quickly responds, “Hrithik Roshan! Because of the perfection in his expression and moves, he is my favourite dancer. Everything is outstanding. Nobody compares to him. He is quite attractive, recognisable, and dashing. He is a big source of inspiration for me, and occasionally people tell me that I dance like Hrithik Roshan.
Neema on the role of Instagram in his career growth
His Instagram followers, meanwhile, adore the clips he posts. “I’ve had some incredible feedback on my dance. I’m happy to hear compliments like “wow,” “excellent,” and “amazing” because I receive so many of them. I’ve also received accolades and standing ovations numerous times. If the opportunity to do a dance-based reality programme is presented to me, I will seize it without hesitation. I gave a dance-acting combination piece at my audition for Sabse Badha Kalakar, and I was chosen for the production. Nothing would be more exciting than the possibility of improving my dancing abilities. “I’ll definitely do it,” he declares.
