26th October 2023, Mumbai: With Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri, Durga Puja, and now impending festivals like Karwa Chauth and Diwali, every city’s atmosphere becomes infused with enthusiasm and a different feel. Simple Kaul is taking in all of the joy and excitement going on around him. The actress, who has been in TV dramas such as Shararat, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Oye Jassie, and Ziddi Dil Maane Na, among others, expresses her excitement.
“It’s wonderful that India has so many festivals to celebrate. These festivals bring people together, make us happy, and keep us lively and excited. They come with various colors and lots of love, creating a beautiful atmosphere,” she says.
Everyone’s moods are elevated during the festival season since there is so much going on. There is a lot of mingling and exchanging of sweets and greetings.
“Festivals are a beautiful thing, and I wish Diwali could happen all the time. My favorite festivals are Diwali and Christmas because everything is beautifully decorated, and it’s a time of happiness. There are many presents and delicious food to enjoy. It’s okay to send festival wishes through text messages because we need to adapt to the changing times. As long as we stay connected, it’s fine, but we should also make an effort to meet people in person. WhatsApp is a great way to stay in touch with people who live far away or in different places. It’s a good tool for staying connected. We’re not losing our traditional way of life. I’m perfectly fine with the way things are changing. Thanks to social media, we can learn so much about what people are doing, and we’re more connected than ever,” she adds.
Simple is the co-owner of four restaurants, six in Mumbai and one in Bangalore, along with her friends Addite Shirwaikar and Vatsala Rajeev Raj.
