12th June 2023, Mumbai: A second season of Extraordinary Attorney Woo, the well-liked 2022 legal romance drama starring Park Eun Bin as autistic lawyer Woo Young Woo in the title role, has reportedly been ordered. Fans became interested in the show’s specifics as news of the sequel’s signing of original writer Moon Ji Won spread quickly.
Following rumours that the show’s screenwriter had been hired to pen the upcoming season, ASTORY revealed that, in fact, they had hired writer Moon Ji Won last year to pen Extraordinary Attorney Woo 2. Season two is now officially confirmed to be in production, but it was also made known that the writer would be busy the rest of the year as she continues to work on her first film as a director, “Deaf Boys” (literal title). She won’t be able to contribute to Extraordinary Attorney Woo’s second season as a result.
ASTORY claims that after the movie’s early-2019 filming is through, the writer will be able to begin writing the show’s sequel. As for the K-drama’s precise schedule and potential release date, the production firm stated, “As we are currently at the stage of internal development, nothing has been decided so far.”
When the production crew was pressed for information regarding the return of the leads, Woo Young Woo and Lee Jun Ho, played by actors Park Eun Bin and Kang Tae Oh, they remained silent. They said that nothing could be confirmed at this time and added, “The casting of the lead actors, including Park Eun Bin and Kang Tae Oh, has also not been decided yet.”
Park Eun Bin, one of the lead actors, is reportedly hard at work on her upcoming drama, “Diva of the Deserted Island,” in which she portrays Seo Mok Ha with Chae Jong Hyeop, Cha Hak Yeon, Kim Joo Heon, and others. Kang Tae Oh, who enlisted in the military in September 2022, is currently performing his conscription.
