17th June 2023, Mumbai: All fans of medical K-dramas, get ready because a new medical K-drama is coming soon. Netflix’s original series Severe Trauma Centre: Golden Hour has revealed its confirmed cast, which includes Ju Ji Hoon, Choo Young Woo, Ha Young, and others. The K-drama will examine problems in a trauma centre that medical staff are unable to resolve. It is an adaptation of a webtoon with the same name.
It has been confirmed that Ju Ji Hoon, Choo Young Woo, and Ha Young will appear in the webtoon Severe Trauma Centre: Golden Hour. Ju Ji Hoon will take on the character of brilliant surgeon Baek Kang Hyuk, who refuses to give up on his patients even though there is a chance to prevent their deaths from trauma injuries. Choo Young Woo, who will portray Yang Jae Won, a fellow physician whom Baek Kang Hyuk himself chooses as his protege, will aid Ju Ji Hoon in the series. On the same team as Baek Kang Hyuk and Yang Jae Won, nurse Chun Jang Mi, played by actress Ha Young, has a great sense of responsibility.
Cast member Yoon Kyung Ho will play Professor Han Yoo Rim, who is enraged by Baek Kang Hyuk for taking Yang Jae Won, one of his mentees. Park Kyung Won, a struggling resident who manages all the surgeries while studying for his medical examinations, will be played by Jung Jae Kwang, who has previously acted in dramas like Nevertheless and It’s Okay To Not Be Okay.
An immensely popular webtoon of the same name served as the inspiration for the Severe Trauma Centre: Golden Hour Netflix original. The K-drama follows an erratic doctor named Baek Kang Hyuk as he enters a trauma centre to save patients before it’s too late.
The prestigious hospital has lost its reputation, but Baek Kang Hyuk, the director of the Severe Trauma Centre, is come to restore it by never putting his patients’ lives in danger.
