28th March 2023, Mumbai: Members of the group ATEEZ recently spoke with a well-known South Korean magazine about a number of topics relating to the group, their music, and their fandom. The group specifically discussed its current global presence and forthcoming international tours. Group leader Hongjoong was very open about the group’s relationship with its fans when talking about both the group’s domestic and international fan bases. The enormous number of foreign fans more than 430 thousand who attended ATEEZ’s most recent concerts were also brought up in the conversation.
Hongjoong said that it was likely the group’s powerful performance, the members’ gripping expressions, and the members’ fascinating gestures that must have contributed to the audience’s overwhelming response when asked what the essential element that just have contributed to such a success was. The ATEEZ member continued by mentioning the group’s distinctive musical ideas as another crucial element that had to have contributed to their widespread appeal. A brief discussion of ATEEZ’s record-breaking sales was also included in the interview. The latter follows news that the group’s mini album, WORLD EP 1: MOVEMENT, had achieved a successful sales milestone of over 1 million copies.
The conversation ultimately turned to ATEEZ’s comparatively understated presence in South Korea at this point in the interview. Hongjoong, the group’s head, provided a succinct explanation in answer to the initial query. In order to make it clear that he did not want followers to be separated based on their nationality, Hongjoong began his response with a declaration. Hongjoong continued by saying that while the members would keep working to improve their visibility in South Korea, they wouldn’t precisely alter how they interact with their foreign fans.
The group’s slightly different musical approach from mainstream music is sometimes cited as the cause of the latter. The group has no plans to modify their music to suit the tastes and preferences of the general public in order to improve acceptance and appreciation, according to Hongjoong, who addressed the same issue.
KQ Entertainment created the South Korean boy band Ateez. Eight people make up the group: Wooyoung, Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, and Jongho. With the extended play (EP) Treasure EP.1: All to Zero, they made their debut on October 24, 2018. As of January 2023, Ateez had released nine EPs, one studio album, one single album, three EPs, two studio albums, two single albums, and nine EPs in the Korean language.
