Earlylife
Vivian was born on October 2, 1990, in Andheri (Mumbai) and is a rapper of Goan descent. In his childhood, he lived in the chawls of J. B. Nagar in Andheri. His father abandoned his family during Vivian’s childhood. His mother and his brother left for Qatar to work because of the poor financial conditions of his family. Vivian lived with his maternal grandmother in his childhood.

In his childhood, Divine educated from St. John the Evangelist High School in Marol, Andheri and Graduated from R. D. National College, Mumbai.
Career
In his 11th Standard, Divine discovered hip-hop on a T-shirt. His friend was wearing a 50 Cent’s first album, “Get Rich or Die Tryin,” T-shirt. He then listened to hip-hop artists like Rakim, Tupac, Eminem, Nas, Big L, etc. on CDs. In the beginning, he had written the songs in English and was a part of Mumbai’s Finest Crew, a hip-hop collective. He dropped his first song, “Yeh Mera Bombay,” then dropped a few hit songs, such as Jungli Sher and Jungle Raja (with Nucleya). He gained popularity for a collaboration track with Mumbai rapper Naezy, whose name is “Meri Gully Mein,” with the record label Sony Music India. In 2019, Divine had a few songs in Zoya Akhtar’s film “Gully Boy,” which was a huge success for Divine’s music career, and Nas’s record label “Mass Appeal” founded the potential in the Indian hip-hop underground music scene. Later, Divine signed a deal with the Mass Appeal and founded his own record label, “Gully Gang Records.” In the past few years, Vivian has dropped three successful music albums that were instant hits.

Vivian was born into a Christian family, and he has one older brother, Anthony Fernandes. His mother relocated to Qatar to work, leaving two children with their grandmother because his father abandoned his family in his childhood. Later, his older brother also relocated to Qatar for work.
