Anuj Rawat was born on October 17, 1999, in Rooppur Ramnagar, a small village situated in Uttarakhand. His upbringing happened in Delhi, as Anuj had been devoted to cricket since childhood. Watching Anuj’s game, his coach advised his father to shift to Delhi so that Anuj’s cricket skills could be brushed under him and he could play at a national level. At the age of 11, Anuj shifted to Delhi.

Anuj Rawat comes from a poor family. He was a cricket enthusiast since childhood. In his early days Anuj used to go to cricket practice which was a few km away from his home. Watching Anuj’s game his coach advised his father to shift to Delhi where his game will thrive and he would be able to play for the national team. Anuj Rawat’s father agreed and he shifted.
And as expected, Anuj’s game improved; he went on to play matches for various trophies and exuded his cricket abilities. Later on, Anuj’s game in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy impressed the selectors of the Rajasthan Royals, and they bought him. Currently, Anuj plays for Royal Challenger Bangalore.
