6th May 2023, Mumbai: Swifties …Ready For It? The “Taylor’s Version” of “Speak Now” will be made available on July 7th, according to a recent announcement by Taylor Swift. The Long Live singer confirmed the news at Midnight(s) that the album will be accessible in all media during her performance in Nashville. Swift also revealed that “Speak Now” will now include six additional tracks from her back catalogue. Swifties, we need to calm down.
Looking Enchanted as always in a purple tulle gown, Taylor posted a revamped version of her Speak Now album poster from 2010 on her socials. She wrote: “I first made Speak Now, completely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20. The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness. I love this album because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing … and living to speak about it.”
In a statement, Swift said that the album, which she initially created between the ages of 18 and 20, recounts a story of maturing, fumbling, flying, and falling. She continued by saying that she adores the album for its frank confessions from diaries, crazy wistfulness, and harsh honesty. 13 years ago, the release of the album represented a crucial turning point for Swift because it was the first and only album on which she wrote every song by herself.
“I wrote Speak Now for the first time entirely on my own between the ages of 18 and 20. The songs that emerged from this period of my life were distinguished by their frank honesty, unvarnished diary-like admissions, and extreme melancholy. This album is one of my favourites since it chronicles growing up, failing, taking off, falling, and surviving to tell the tale,” she stated.
Swift has been recording brand-new iterations of her Big Machine releases, and so far, “Taylor’s Version” copies of “Fearless” and “Red” have been made available. Following her public outrage at her Big Machine catalogue being sold against her will, fans have complied with her wishes to only purchase and watch the versions where she owns the recordings outright. Pre-sales for the album are available now.
Fans are eager to celebrate “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” with the artist in July as a result of the announcement.
