03 May 2023, Mumbai: SM Entertainment, the management company of Boy Band EXO, stated on May 3rd, “We have come to give unexpected news regarding Kai’s military duty. He was offered an alternative service as a social worker after getting the letter. We appeal for the fans’ understanding as we won’t organise a separate event on the same day since we respect Kai’s decision to covertly enrol on the same day. As a result, we won’t reveal the place or time of Kai’s enlistment. We’ll let you know when the next EXO album is out as soon as it’s decided,” they added. On May 11, he is going to enrol.
Kai, who made his music debut in 2012 with the single album ”What Is Love’ EXO-K Prologue 1st Single,” was born in January 1994 and will turn 30 this year in Korea. It seems that he got the letter before it was supposed to in order to get ready for the EXO comeback before he went to the military.
Recently, Kai discussed Rover on a show in Bulgaria. This chat show appearance was planned specifically by bTV due to the explosive reception that Kai’s third mini-album’s title single, “Rover,” is receiving in Bulgaria. Particularly, according to bTV, Kai studied dance as a child and now rules the world stage with incredible dance performances as a superstar in the billion-dollar K-pop industry.
Fans all throughout the world clap and shout whenever he comes. The song “Rover” by Kai, which was inspired by Bulgarian artist Dara, quickly gained popularity on social media and was declared a hit. In addition, Kai noted that DARA’s “Mr. Rover” was a tune tailored for female vocals when asked about the Rover song’s production process. He spent a lot of time considering whether he could finish it better so that it would fit the song since he attempted to incorporate his own experience into “Rover.”
Talking about the work front, Kai’s third mini-album, “Rover,” won twice on music shows, topped the circle weekly chart twice, took first place on the iTunes Top Album Chart in 50 different countries, took first place on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, and took first place on the QQ Music Digital Album Sales Chart in China. It also dominated domestic and international music video charts, including those in the global and Korean categories.
