The upcoming Hollywood film Avatar: The Way of Water won’t be permitted to screen in Kerala, according to the Film Exhibitors United Organisation of Kerala (FEUOK), which made the announcement on Tuesday. The film is scheduled to debut in theatres on December 16
After the distribution business sought 60% of the proceeds from collections in the first week alone, a decision was made. According to FEUOK, they won’t accept offers for more than 55% of the shares.
Audiences of the James Cameron film will not be able to see the visual spectacular in theatres if a consensus is not reached before the film’s release date.
Avatar: The Way of Water opens with the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their children), the struggles that follows them, the strands they go to keep each other alive, the battles they tussle to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure. It is set more than ten years after the events of the first movie.
The family of Na’vi Neytiri, played by Zoe Saldana, and Jake Sully, played by Sam Worthington, are featured in the sequel. In addition to these actors, the cast also includes Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, and Kate Winslet.
