Jenna Coleman is an English actress who has been in the entertainment industry since 2005. She is best known for her roles in Doctor Who and Victoria. Born in Blackpool in 1986, Coleman attended Arnold School in Blackpool before going on to train at the National Youth Theatre in London and born on 27thApril 1986 .
She made her debut in 2005 and her first major role came in 2006, playing Jasmine Thomas in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale. During this time, Coleman also had a few minor roles in television shows such as The Royal and The Bill. In 2012, Coleman became the eleventh companion of the Doctor in the BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who. She played the role of Clara Oswald for three seasons, alongside the eleventh and twelfth Doctor, Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi.
