After losing the defamation case against Johnny Depp, Amber Heard made the decision to step away from the spotlight. The actress and her daughter Oonagh made the move to Spain. Her motivation, according to rumours, was to raise her daughter Oonagh away from the Hollywood lifestyle. Heard has at last spoken candidly to the media about her fresh start and relocation to Spain.
Amber Heard discusses her time spent in Spain.
Amber has shied away from speaking with the media ever after the slander trial was over. She has reportedly been seen taking photos with fans who approach her. It was anticipated that the actress would deal with the media much more if she relocated to Spain’s capital. But the actress made an unusually friendly gesture by stopping to chat with some Spanish photographers. Heard told them about her new life while speaking to them in Spanish. Amber spoke to the photographers politely, “I hope you are well, it was a pleasure meeting you.” She was asked if she had any tasks planned before saying farewell to them, and she said that she did.
The relocation of Amber Heard and her daughter to Spain
It was announced earlier this month that Amber and her daughter Oonagh had moved to Spain. Heard sold her Yucca Valley, California, property in July 2022 for $1.1 million. According to rumours, she purchased a 1.9 million dollar property in Madrid. She shares a building with Xabi Alonso, Carmen Sevilla, Narcs Serra, Juan Benet, Antonio Gala, Juan Abelló, Mar Flores, and Isabel Preysler.
Even now, following the conclusion of the Depp v. Heard trial, there is still discussion surrounding it. Both those who agree with Heard’s claims and those who disagree with them exist.
An abrupt change by the actress is made a year after the slander trial. Heard was found responsible for paying Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $350,000 in punitive penalties at the conclusion of the trial in June 2022.
Recently, Johnny Depp was seen at the Cannes Film Festival. When his performance in the movie Jeanne du Barry garnered a 7-minute standing ovation, the actor was seen getting emotional.
