Since his first appearance in Armageddon (1998), the actor admitted that they had enjoyed making fun of him. “Armageddon was the first of my movies that my kids actually watched together because they like movies where they can make fun of me and they really like the idea that I was an astronaut or an oil driller or they just found the whole thing kind of preposterous but they loved it,” the actor said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. They had a great time.
He then went on to say, “But Good Will Hunting, which I watched with two of my now three children, was the first film in which I was genuinely interested in what they thought. It was fascinating to watch them watch the movie and notice how different their childhoods were from mine.
On an aesthetic level, it was undoubtedly the most satisfying experience of my life because they seemed interested and involved.” In the film Air, the 50-year-old actor transports viewers back in time to show how Nike made history by hiring Michael Jordan and creating the Air Jordans. Matt, Jason Bateman, Marlon Wayans, Chris Messina, and Viola Davis star in the film, which had its world premiere on March 18, 2023 at the SXSW Film Festival. Ben plays Phil Knight, a Nike co-founder, in the film.
