According to a source in India Today, the deceased, named as Lakshmireddy Srinu, went to a Peddapuram theatre with his brother Raju to see James Cameron’s most current science fiction film, Avatar 2. According to reports, Srinu passed out in the middle of the film and his younger brother quickly brought him to Peddapuram Government Hospital. Doctors pronounced him already dead when they arrived. A daughter and a son survive Lakshmireddy.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Avatar has made headlines because a viewer had a cardiac attack while viewing it. According to reports (by Agence France Presse), when the Sam Worthington-Zoe Saldana starrer’s first instalment was released in 2010, a 42-year-old man in Taiwan also killed tragically after having a heart attack while viewing it.
