26th March, Mumbai: Nilu Kohli, a veteran actress known for her work in Hindi films and TV shows, has been struck by a devastating tragedy. Her husband, Harminder Singh Kohli, passed away on Friday, March 24 in the late afternoon after reportedly slipping in the bathroom. The couple had been married since 1986 and had two children together, a son named Banveer Kohli and a daughter named Sahiba Kohli.
According to reports Sahiba confirmed the heartbreaking news of her father’s passing. Nilu Kohli was last seen on screen in the period drama “Jogi,” which was released last year.
Harminder was reportedly diabetic, but his health had been stable and he was in good condition. The incident occurred in the afternoon when he returned home from the Gurudwara and went to the bathroom. As he was taking longer than usual, the only person present in the house, the house help, went to check on him and discovered him lying unconscious on the bathroom floor. Unfortunately, it was too late to rush him to the hospital.
Nilu Kohli has a diverse career that extends beyond television shows and serials, having appeared in several popular films including Dil Kya Kare, Housefull 2, and “Hindi Medium,” among others. Recently, she shared the teaser of her latest project, the comedy series “United Kacche,” on her social media alongside co-star Sunil Grover. The series features an ensemble cast, including Satish Shah, Sapna Pabbi, Nikhil Vijay, and Manu Rishi Chaddha, with Nilu playing a prominent role. Along with her film work, she has also been a part of successful television shows like Maddam Sir, Choti Sarrdarni, and “Sangam.
