11th April,2024, Mumbai: Somy Ali, a social worker and former Bollywood actress who founded the nonprofit organization No More Tears (NMT) in Florida, says she is looking forward to celebrating Eid with the survivors in her care. After the conclusion of the fasting month of Ramadan, people celebrate Eid on April 11.
Somy Ali Loves To Spend Eid With Her Kids And NMT Family
“There’s nothing that makes me happier than spending Eid with my kids and the NMT family,” Somy stated. It’s the greatest feeling in the world to return to work because it feels like home. The key to our existence and a purpose beyond ourselves is having a purpose and doing something important. That makes life worthwhile since it makes everyone happy.
Somy Ali Throw Light On Her Childhood Eid Celebrations
She also mentioned how the celebration brought back all of her early childhood memories, particularly receiving Eidi from seniors. “I love Eid so much because it reminds me of all the wonderful times I had as a kid.” The mehndi, fresh clothes, delicious food, and of course, Eidi, when the elders give the kids money,” she remarked.
“However, for the past 17 years, there has been an additional special addition: I celebrate Eid with all the survivors and give the abused children Eidi because I am their elder,” she said.
Somy Ali loves watching old Mumtazji and kakaji movies in her free time
She adds, “I love spending time with my mum and watching old Mumtazji and kakaji movies,” when asked what makes her instantly happy. They seemed like the ideal couple to me, followed by Amitji and Rekhaji. I enjoy reading the newspapers in the morning, which have news from Pakistan, India, and the United States, and I love coffee. All in all, I consider each of these nations to be home to a small portion of me.
Watching biographies of people who defied expectations and achieved success is something I really enjoy doing. That’s where my strength comes from. Never give up. Additionally, avoid being with people who make you feel inferior or self-conscious. Keep in mind that just because someone says something negative about you, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true. Above all, be authentic in your speech. Avoid wearing a filter or sugarcoating others. Nothing is more freeing than being who you truly are.
