5th June 2023, Mumbai: Sneha Jain, a prominent name in the Indian television industry, has established herself as a talented actress known for her impeccable performances and diverse choice of characters. Her journey began at an early age, as she started auditioning for roles after completing her 10th grade. However, things took a more serious turn after her graduation.
After finishing a certificate course in acting under Barry John, Sneha delved into theatre to further enhance her craft and prepare herself to portray characters that would impress the audience. Initially, she landed small roles that required her presence for a day or two. These roles, often as friends or passers-by, provided her with a stepping stone into the world of television. Although she didn’t receive many dialogues in the beginning, Sneha embraced the opportunity to enter the industry and acknowledged the struggles she faced. Earning only Rs 2000 per day, she shared a room with multiple girls. However, she looks back on those days without regret, as they served as invaluable learning experiences. Sneha recognizes that the struggle in the entertainment industry is endless, but she remains determined to continue working and fulfill her dream of exploring different mediums and portraying a wide range of characters.
Sneha has no plans to slow down; instead, she aspires to take on new challenges and expand her horizons. One memorable experience was when she worked on an episode of “Cheekh” with renowned director and Gujarati producer Homi Wadia. In this particular show, she portrayed the role of a journalist, and later in the story, her character became possessed by a devil. It was an arduous and demanding role that required her to display deep emotions, to the point where she cried upon seeing herself in the mirror. On the day of shooting this scene, Sneha was feeling anxious, but Homi Wadia noticed her distress and took action. He contacted the writer, who then conveyed Sneha’s concerns to the director. They offered her additional time to prepare for the scene, recognizing the importance of her character’s journey. The next morning, they shot the scene, and Sneha was overjoyed by the support she received, especially as a newcomer in the industry. The incident left a lasting impact on her, instilling confidence and motivation. When Sneha landed the role in “Saath Nibhaana Saathiya,” she immediately called Homi Wadia to share the news. He always reminds her that she is his star, and his words have been a great source of encouragement. Armed with his belief in her potential, Sneha returned home and applied his advice, working diligently on her acting skills.
