On December 30, 2022, Riteish Deshmukh’s first film as a director, Ved, will be released. Prior to its release, the Marathi movie, in which he also stars alongside Genelia Dsouza and Jiya Shankar, was the buzz of the town. In reality, Ved gained notoriety when Salman Khan helped promote the business. Ved was expected to start strong given the anticipation about the film. Ved has lived up to expectations, bringing in Rs. 2.25 crore on the first day. After that, the second and third days of the movie’s release each showed an increase in revenue.
According to sources, Ved made a respectable Rs. 10 crore just in its first weekend of release. The business of the movie has gotten off to a great start with its first Saturday and Sunday earning Rs. 3.25 cr and Rs. 4.50 cr, respectively. In fact, based on the collections, Ved experienced an increase of about 38% on its third day and a 44% increase on its second day. Further, it is clear that the movie’s business will continue to expand every day.
According to current trade projections, Ved’s business will benefit significantly from the lack of competition in theatres. The Riteish Deshmukh-directed film is expected to have a relatively unchallenged run at the box office because Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, will be the next major release. Pathaan is scheduled to hit theatres later in January.
