Monster is currently having problems with their Gulf theatre openings. Although the UAE is one of the biggest markets for a Mollywood film, the movie starring Mohanlal, one of the biggest stars in South cinema, is having trouble because the censor board did not like it. There has been no official confirmation from the producers, but if rumours are to be believed, it will be subject to a ban in the nation.
Due to various factors, several movies in the past, including Sita Ramam, had this problem. Monster is anticipated to be a crime thriller with several action-entertainment components. The LGBTQA+ references in the movie have caused problems. It appears that the censor board is objecting to this content. In fact, some rumours indicate that the filmmakers may decide to edit some of the picture before resubmitting it for approval in the UAE. In such a situation, the release date in the UAE can be delayed further because it would need additional time to finish the rescreening and other processes.
Mohanlal plays Lucky Singh in the action-packed movie Monster. In important parts are also played by Lakshmi Manchu, Lena, Honey Rose, Siddique, Sudev Nair, K B Ganesh Kumar, and Jess Sweejan. The movie is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas and directed by Vysakh from a screenplay by Udaykrishna. The date of release is set for October 21.
