2nd June 2023, Mumbai:According to Nivedita Basu, the Vice President of Content and Business Alliance at Atrangii TV and OTT, while there are good films being made nowadays, people are more inclined to sit and watch content comfortably at home. Basu mentions that there are now several good family films being produced, such as “Bhool Bhulaiya.” However, she believes that people have become lazier and prefer not to spend too much money, opting instead to consume a lot of content on OTT platforms. With a subscription costing around 500 rupees per month, viewers have access to a wide variety of content, including family films and content in different languages.
Basu highlights that the content available at home is of high quality. In terms of Hindi content, television offers a lot of good options, and other platforms are also emerging with excellent content. She mentions that shows like “Mismatched” have become her go-to shows, and she looks forward to watching them. Basu emphasizes that there is an abundance of content for viewers to choose from across different platforms.
At Atrangii, Basu mentions that they are involved in various interesting projects. They have three live shows coming up that evoke nostalgia and take viewers back to their growing-up years. The content is relevant and aims to resonate with a wide audience, leveraging Atrangii’s reach.
