14th July 2023,Mumbai: Rebuilding Bridges: Krushna Abhishek’s Heartfelt Gesture Towards Uncle Govinda
In a surprising turn of events, actor-comedian Krushna Abhishek tagged his uncle-actor Govinda for the first time amid their seven-year-long family feud. Confessing that the post and tagging on social media was his way of mending their strained relationship, Abhishek reflects on the lessons he has learned from his ‘mamu’ while sharing a dance video that evoked emotions in him.
A Desperate Attempt for Reconciliation
“Bhale hi who response de ya na den, I wanted to tag him. Bhagwan kare jhagda end hojaaye. Time is passing away, I want all of this to get solved now. I love him. Mere jitni family mai unki koi respect nahi karta hoga,” says Abhishek, whose first appearance on television was also with Govinda on the show Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai. He acknowledges the love-hate dynamic that exists in families and expresses his desire for the ongoing feuds to come to an end.
A Bond Beyond Blood
Expressing his affection for Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, Abhishek recognizes her significant role in his life. He states that she has done a lot for him and is like a mother figure to him. He emphasizes how misunderstandings and anger can strain relationships within a family, leading to the belief that someone no longer wants to meet or connect with them.
Hope for Reconciliation Through Face-to-Face Interaction
When asked if he has recently met Govinda, Abhishek responds by saying they have been too busy to meet. However, he firmly believes that if they were to see each other face-to-face, their issues would be resolved immediately. He fondly recalls their last meeting in Dubai, describing it as a heartwarming cinematic scene where their love for each other was evident.
A Childhood Spent on Film Sets
Abhishek reminisces about his childhood experiences accompanying Govinda on film sets. He vividly remembers being the kid on the poster of the film Hatya (1988) and how it kickstarted his journey in the industry. From there, he continued to visit sets for films like Joru Ka Gulam (2000), Hero No.1 (1997), Haseena Maan Jayegi (1999), Akhiyon Se Goli Maare (2002), and Pardesi Babu (1998). He attributes his passion for dance to choreographer Ganesh Acharya, who would make him stand at the back, igniting his career as a dancer.
The Govinda Influence
Abhishek admits that he has never seen a performer like Govinda and considers him his ultimate hero. He proudly states that if people see shades of Govinda in his dancing, it is the greatest compliment for him. While he insists that he doesn’t copy his uncle, he believes that the resemblance comes naturally as it runs in his blood. Abhishek concludes by acknowledging that Govinda’s influence and presence have significantly shaped his career.
In an industry where relationships often make headlines, Krushna Abhishek’s public gesture towards Govinda highlights the complexity of family dynamics. With a deep desire to mend their strained bond, Abhishek’s hopeful and nostalgic reflections give a glimpse into the power of love and the potential for reconciliation between family members. Only time will tell if this public olive branch can heal the wounds and reignite the warmth between these two talented actors.
